There are some amazing hikes in the area near Cottonwood Cabins! Hiking is one of our favorite ways to spend time and we are constantly finding new places to hike nearby.

When you are visiting with us, be sure to put the hike to the Indian Bathtubs on your list.  This is a very easy, family-friendly hike that will lead you to an area of rock formations that were said to have been used as bathing holes for Indian tribes in the 1800's.  From the town of Riverside, head east on WY-230.  Turn right on Blackhall Mountain Road.  In approximately one mile, you will see the trailhead sign on the right.  The trailhead is well marked and is a approximately a 5-minute drive from Cottonwood Cabins.  Expect a one-and-a-half mile roundtrip hike.  For additional information, visit https://www.wyomingcarboncounty.com/blog/116-indian-bathtubs-trail.
